sale donated to a charity, such as The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Thus, each time a shopper buys online, that transaction generates cash for the chosen charity. The program starts just in time for the 2005 holiday season, when eCommerce activity is projected to soar, and when the spirit of giving is at its peak.

To participate in the program, a Business eStore customer will set up a Charitable Giving Merchant Account with Fast Transact and select a group to support-such as The Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Merchants will also be able to recommend a charity they'd like to support. Thereafter, a percentage of the transaction fees for every online sale they make will be donated to that group. Online shoppers will be notified during the checkout process that their purchase is generating a donation to the charity.

To get the charitable giving program off to a great start, the companies are launching it in the last quarter of 2005 so that it's ready for the holidays - a time when more and more people seek out the exceptional value and convenience of online shopping.
